Tune your phone so Unetwork never stops.

A node only earns while the app is running. Phones are built to kill background apps to save battery, so a node phone needs a few settings changed once — after that it just runs. If your node is showing offline right now, the same list is the fix.

Start here The checklist — do all of it, once

  1. Battery management: exempt the Unetwork app from every battery optimisation — set it to Unrestricted, and turn off adaptive battery, battery saver and any "put unused apps to sleep" feature. This is the number one reason nodes go offline. Exact paths per make below.
  2. Background data: allow background data and unrestricted data for the Unetwork app, and keep Data Saver off. A node that can only talk while on screen is not a node.
  3. Do Not Disturb, Bedtime, Sleep and Focus modes: switch off every schedule on a node phone. They pause background apps overnight, which is exactly when you are not watching.
  4. Scheduled power modes: no scheduled power saving, no auto power-off, no "extreme" or "ultra" battery modes.
  5. Airplane mode: never. Wi-Fi or mobile data both work; operators report SIM data often earns slightly more.
  6. Location — Allow all the time: Extended Telemetry needs it (and KYC). "While using the app" is not enough for a background task.
  7. Auto-start after a reboot: enable it where the phone offers it, and reopen the app after any restart or OS update — it doesn't always come back on its own.
  8. Don't swipe the app away. Press Home and leave it. Lock or pin it in Recents if your phone can.
  9. Keep the app updated. After an update, open it once: if it shows offline, or a task you had switched on now shows off, force-close it and reopen, then check the Tasks screen.
  10. Keep it powered and connected. On a charger, on Wi-Fi or data, all day.
  11. Then earn more: do KYC, and opt into every task you're eligible for.

Set and forget Settings for your device

🤖 Android (all makes)
  • Settings → Apps → Unetwork → Battery → choose Unrestricted (older versions: Battery optimisation → Don't optimise).
  • Settings → Apps → Unetwork → Mobile data → allow Background data and Unrestricted data usage, so Data Saver can never block it.
  • Keep Battery Saver and Data Saver off on this phone.
  • In the Recents screen, long-press the Unetwork app and lock/pin it if your phone offers that.
  • Digital Wellbeing Bedtime mode / scheduled Do Not Disturb can pause apps overnight — switch those schedules off on a node phone.
  • Settings → Location → App permissions → Unetwork → Allow all the time (needed for Extended Telemetry).
  • Keep Airplane mode off and auto-start on where your phone has that setting.
🍎 iPhone
  • Settings → General → Background App Refresh → set to Wi-Fi & Mobile Data, and ON for Unetwork.
  • Keep Low Power Mode off — it suspends background refresh.
  • Settings → Mobile Data → make sure Unetwork is allowed.
  • Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Unetwork → Always (needed for Extended Telemetry).
  • Skip Sleep/Focus schedules on a node phone — and on a dedicated device, leaving the app open on screen while on charge gives the best uptime.
  • Don't swipe the app up to close it; press Home. Reopen it after every restart or iOS update.
📱 Samsung (One UI)
  • Settings → Battery → Background usage limits → turn OFF "Put unused apps to sleep", and make sure Unetwork is not under Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps — add it to Never sleeping apps.
  • Settings → Battery → More battery settings → turn off Adaptive battery.
  • Also apply the general Android settings.
⚡ Xiaomi / POCO / Redmi
  • Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Unetwork → enable Autostart, and set Battery saver to No restrictions.
  • In Recents, long-press the app and tap the padlock so clearing recents doesn't kill it.
  • Also apply the general Android settings.
